Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 14.8’C
Depth: 10.1m
Visibility: 1.0m
Number of Sharks: 10+7
Conditions: Windy

The wind was strong today and so was the shark activity! Although the visibility in Joubertsdam right now is still on the limited side, the sharks were passing close enough to the cage that it wasn’t even a factor.  We had quite a few of the large females back again, with three sharks measuring in at 4.0m or above, including “Maureen” one of our largest satellite tagged sharks in the area right now. The shark giving us the most passes today, along with some of the best passes and spy hops, was a very calm 4.0m female with a kink at the tip of her upper caudal fin, making her very easy to identify. It’s always a great day when it’s spent with the Great Whites…

If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then Cage Diving South in Africa, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss. Book online with us and get a free video of your encounter with the world’s apex predator.
