What a spectacular day to be out at sea, the fact that we barely had to wait for the sharks made it so much better. Despite the overcast and cold conditions we had some tremendous sightings. Several large males and females were sighted, the largest I would believe was about 4.6 meters in length and this shark made several passes. We also had one of the satellite tagged sharks in the area made two turns before disappearing into the abyss. We had another suicidal juvenile Gannet today, this bird barely escaped the sharks on the first instance it plunged into the water. The three dives which followed were just tempting fates, but believe it or not, the bird escaped each attack. Here’s to the little guy, well done Gannet you might make it yet. Amazing sightings…
