We started our day off with not one, but two sharks arriving simultaneously, one from the right and one from the left! The rest of the day did not disappoint either, as the sharks brought some great action to make up for the reduced visibility. Our largest shark of the day was a 4m male on our first trip, but it was a 3.8m male who provided most of the upbeat action for everyone in the morning. Our second trip was dominated by the 3.7m female with the prominent rosi on her dorsal fin that the whole crew have fallen in love with. This feisty girl was with us through the entire trip, giving close turns and passes for the divers in the cage and lots of open mouth photo opportunities for everyone on board. Our International Marine Volunteers are always a huge help on board from data collection and chumming to general customer relations and today was no different; we were pleased to have the volunteers help out a very excited deaf family on board, providing taps on the shoulders and head, while they were in the cage, to signal when and where the shark was coming from. Just goes to remind us that cage diving with Marine Dynamics really is for everyone…
