Daily trip 03 February 2013 (Trip 1) | Shark Diving Gansbaai

Location: JoubertsDam
Water temperature: 12°C
Conditions: Swelly
Visibility: <2m
No of sharks: 6

Guest comments: “Very well organised, excellent crew, we really enjoyed this experience!”  John, Australia

The sea conditions were a little challenging today, with a bit of a swell in the bay, however the shark acitivity was still quite good. The first shark to arrive was a juvenille sighted the day before. Everyone who dived managed to see sharks despite the challenging visibility. A large 4 meter female showed up at the end of the trip, just to give our guests some perspective on how large these sharks are- even in their ‘subadult’ phase!  We also sighted a shark we think may have been tagged in Port Elizabeth which was with us a few days ago. Pretty lucky morning trip I’d say!

If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then Shark Diving in Gansbaai, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss.
