Today was one of those days where you just cannot believe your luck! Everything seemed perfect from the warm water temperature and visibility to the sheer quantity and activity we were getting from the sharks. Not only did we have sharks constantly passing, sometimes multiple at a time, but we were treated to a jaw-dropping aerial display by two of our juvenile sharks today. “Alvin” was there giving us his usual half-breaches whenever he thought we weren’t looking, but we also had a new smaller shark today around 2.9m who was all about the acrobats! This little guy had so much energy, constantly leaping for the bait and decoy he may as well have had wings! Our volunteers right away decided to nickname this shark “Ninja” for all his sneaky aerial skills, hopefully this guy becomes a regular…

If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then Great White Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss.
