Today was one of those special days on sea, when everything just works out well! I guided both trips today, and was fortunate to see excellent shark activity on both. The first trip saw the arrival of various ‘similar sized’ males all measuring around 3 meters in length, and very inquisitive. One was a tagged shark we think may have been tagged in Port Elizabeth. Towards the end of the first trip the most slender majestic and relaxed male shark arrived. He measured an 4.2m and gave the divers such an awesome experience. We decided to name him ‘Aussie’ due to the amount of people from Australia we had on the boat, quite a few from Adelaide (?!). On trip 2, Aussie was the first shark to show up, and the guests on board were utterly impressed. Despite the chilly water, everyone had great dives and after both trips we ran up to Dyer Island to have a look at the seals. Not long now, and we shall be anchoring back up there for our winter shark action!
