A slow start to the day, but well worth the wait! On our first trip of the day, our divers had to wait just over 2 hours until the first shark approached the boat. Fortunately we were able to entertain all of our divers with some fun shark facts before actually spotting a shark. When the shark did approach, she was a 3 meter dark female with noticable bite marks around her gills. We speculate that this could be from mating. She was a very fiesty shark and did numerous passes in front of the cage. She also suprise ambushed the decoy twice and the bait line a handful of times. We kept our fingers crossed that she would stick around for our second trip. Upon arriving back to our dive spot, our divers began suiting up into their wetsuits. Within 15 minutes a shark approached the boat. It wasn’t the shark from the first trip. This shark was a much larger female at about 4 meters in length with a very distinct slash in her dorsal fin. Our crew knew who this shark was! We had seen her about 2 months ago when we were still diving at the islands. It was nice to see a familiar fin and she gave our divers quite a show. After an hour she went off to explore and another shark that was 2.7 meters in length came by to see what our divers were up to. This shark was quite playful and attempted a few breaches on the decoy. All in all, it was an amazing day with 3 very beautiful sharks!
