Sightings: Bronze whalers

Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: Cold

Visibility: Poor

With one trip today we started early to miss the afternoon rain and wind! And it was worth the early start, with a beautiful sunrise in the shallows to welcome us, we got our divers geared up and waited only a short while before we got our first copper shark. Activity started a little slowly this morning but by the time we had our first group in the cage, we started to get some very nice close passes by the cage! With some close encounters for our first group we changed and activity only got better from there as we worked through the groups, with some of our keen divers even going again! As we started to finish up we were joined by a magnificent juvenile cape gannet and a few skuas. With a wonderful trip complete we headed back to the harbour to beat the rain!
