This morning started off with some menacingly grey clouds over the bay and some light rain just before we left the Great White House, however this cleared to a beautiful morning by the time we had finished our briefing and were on the way down to the harbour. The rest of the conditions out on the bay were fantastic with the included benefit of the red tide clearing from yesterday. The sharks were around from the get go and we saw continuous activity throughout the trip with sharks such as “Little Rosie” and “Rosie” appearing and some feisty little juveniles around giving our bait and decoy handlers a good exercise! We also had a few Short-tailed stingrays come by briefly but thankfully they did not stick around and our sharks were happy to keep cruising on by.

On our second trip we launched from the Kleinbaai harbour and were surprised by our resident humpback dolphins. We did spend a few minutes with the dolphins before heading to our divesite in the shallows. Shortly after picking up the cage ant attaching it to our vessel the first shark arrived. We had sharks around the our vessel Slashfin constantly, in total we saw eight different sharks. The biggest one we saw on this trip showed up just before pulling our anchor it was around four meter.
