Calm days can lead to quiet days, but that wasn’t the case today! Our first trip was able to have a bit of a lie in with a 9 AM launch. Within 20 minutes of anchoring at our dive location, we had our first shark approaching the boat. It was a beautiful 2.8 meter female with a very notieable white mark stretching across the top of her body just behind her dorsal fin. She was shortly followed by a 3.5 meter shark that has a light patch on its dorsal fin. We didn’t recognize any of the sharks that we saw this trip, however we have added images of their dorsal fins to our database in hopes of seeing if we have seen them before. Our second trip began quickly with s shark appearing in the first 5 minutes. It was a clean shark with only 2 small marks on its side and snout. It was followed by 2 sharks that appear as if they have been to war. Both had scars all over the bodies, with some apparent bite marks. The last shark to appear stuck around with us the entire trip. It was a highly curious 2.8 meter shark that continued to go for the bait line. It would occaisionally slip into the depths, inspecting the seal decoy from below, then launching itself out of the water! It was an amazing sight to see!
