Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray + Cape fur seal
Summary: An afternoon launch from Kleinbaai harbour into the calm waters of Joubertsdam. Low swell and blue skies emerged from an early fog, with incredible activity awaiting us in the shallows. As we arrived, divers were soon supplied their wetsuits and ready to get into the water with the first arrival of the Bronze whaler sharks. Multiple individuals, male and female were present in impressive numbers. Soon they were in the company of Short-tail stingrays, the largest ray species we can find in our bay. Extra sightings of the Cape fur seal were also seen actively predating around the vessel, topping off our sightings for the day. Thank you to all guests who shared this marine experience with us, it was a pleasure having you all on board Slashfin!
