It was a bronzed day above and below the water with the best weather conditions saved for the last day of the week as the temperature rose, the sun shone and the sea behaved! The first sighting around the boat for the day was that of a Copper shark or Bronze whaler, and with this first sighting they just kept coming as the sharks put on a fantastic show. It wasn’t only the Copper sharks around this morning but a Short-tailed stingray came to the surface to enjoy the great weather and warm sea temperature and a view of one of the bays current visitors, a Southern Right whale.
The second trip of the day launched and had a shark cruising around the boat within moments, as the Copper sharks appeared again. This trip followed in a similar way to the first with the sharks giving some great views from both the boat and also under the water. A Cape Fur seal joined in the fun around the boat.
To finish of this spectacular day Slashfin launched one more trip, enjoying the warm afternoon sun and refreshing breeze. The Copper sharks were yet again the stand-out sighting for this trip with some great passes close by the cage for the divers to see and those on board the boat to enjoy. The Short-tailed stingray completed this trips wildlife viewing for the day before the group made the trip back to land.
