Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray, African penguins, Cape fur seals, Bryde`s whales + Cape gannets
Summary: An incredible day on the water with an active bay offering unforgettable sightings! The first and trip of the day launched from Kleinbaai Harbour, welcomed by the first sighting of the critically endangered African penguins in the water. Continuing towards the dive site, our trips today were blessed with impressive activity from our Bronze whaler sharks! Large individuals were present, with a re-sighting of a frequent visitor nicknamed Scarlet, boasting a prominent white blaze. Within the bay, Cape fur seals and Cape gannets were seen in great numbers, actively predating and diving at impressive speeds. For our last trip of the day the activity were phenomenal in the bay, from diving Cape gannets to Bryde’s whales! As we anchored the Bronze whaler sharks were showing up, the activity was non stop! A glorious day on the water, thank you to everyone who joined us for this adventure!
