Joubertsdam

11.7C + 11.6C

8.6m + 9.1m

1m

Number of Sharks:
8 + 7

With increasing easterly winds and strong gusts leaving Kleinbaai harbor was quite a spectacular ride. As these easterly winds have been persisting over the last couple of days the water temperature in the bay has dropped significantly. Luckily the sharks were still around and decided pay us a visit. We ended up seeing 8 different sharks on our first trip and 7 sharks on our second trip. The sharks didn’t take too long to show up so we were lucky not wait too long. Sharks differed greatly in personality; Ingrid being very shy and moving around slowly and a smaller shark of approximately 2.8m being very fast and attempting to get the bait a couple of times.
