Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Cold

Visibility: Poor

Sightings: Cape fur seals, Bronze whaler sharks & Broadnose sevengill shark

Summary: After multiple days of being land-bound, our crew and guides were just as excited as the guests to head out! Leaving Kleinbaai Harbour, a wet and wild boat ride got adrenaline pumping, heightened by the presence of our sharks on anchor through the trips today. The reduced visibility worked in the sharks favour, with Bronze whaler sharks sneaking up and showing off the impressive camouflage skills. During the second trip, guests were able to see a second shark species, the Broadnose sevengill, getting up close and personal in front of the cage. Thank you to all who joined us today, it was a pleasure having you onboard Slashfin!
