Trip Comments:
An early morning start for our divers today as we launched from Kleinbaai harbor at 7.00am. We started our first trip with a very fast shark that likes to surprise Pieter, our bait handler. A little bit after that s shark showed up that Kelly likes to call dolphin fin which is self explanatory as it has a curved fin. It’s little things like that that help us to distinguish one shark from another. On our second trip of the day we were lucky to spot 9 different sharks including a shark of which half the pectoral fin has been bitten off. We were able to indentify it as a female and estimate it to be 4.2m in length. Our third trip had two surprises in it, we spotted a pack of Bottlenose dolphins while we were on anker and as if we were not lucky enough we spotted some Humpback dolphins on our way back to Kleinbaai harbor.
