Sightings: Bronze whaler shark, Broadnose sevengill shark, Short-tail stingray, Cape fur seals + Southern Right whales
Summary: An early morning rise for our first guests of the day! An adrenaline filled boat trip led us to the shallows where we dropped anchor and divers adorned their wetsuits. Although quiet on the shark side, a beautiful Short-tail stingray showed interest, gliding through the water and close to the cage, right in front of the divers braving our Atlantic waters! We were also treated to an unexpected sighting of Southern right whales cruising past the dive site. Before heading back to the harbour, we took a turn to Shark Alley, where the impressive Cape fur seal colony is located on Geyser Rock. With thousands in the water, they impressed guests with their charisma and agility. Just outside the harbour, an active Southern right whale calf breached and flipper slapped the water, waving guests goodbye as we made our way back to land. The second trip experienced more luck with sightings of the Bronze whaler sharks, and even the prehistoric Broadnose sevengill shark! To everyone who joined us today, thank you for embracing adventure. It was a pleasure sharing our wildlife with you!
