Out on the water early this morning to beat the tide meant we were first to the shallows! And it paid off to be up early with some excellent shark activity through this trip. We had a 3.3m female to start off with. She gave our cage divers some nice activity, with a lot of decoy action. Then a larger female at 3.5m joined us. She was a little bit feisty with some nice aerial activity, with a white mark on the top of her head she was quite distinctive swimming around Slashfin this morning. Then boom the large 4.2m female smashed out of the water introducing herself to the clients on board! But after a pass or two she was off into the abyss again! Clampy joined us for some of the more graceful passes of the morning. With such variety of behaviour this morning we were really exposed to how different individuals go about their mornings! On the second trip we got ourselves a total of 3 white sharks. With the feisty 3.5m female from the first giving us some nice action at the start of the trip, we were then joined by chunky, the 3.7m female with a big chunk out of her tail. We even had both sharks up at the surface at the same time! Clampy then joined us again for some more of her graceful swimming! For the third trip we had a quick anchor move before our first White shark appeared, a 3.5m female with bite scars covering her head and trunk, she made a stunning attempt at the bait line before disappearing only to return 15 minutes later and make a slow approach on the decoy then she well and truly left us not to be seen for the rest of the afternoon. The team and our guests waited patiently with no other sharks appearing however just as the sunning was starting to dip and many started to get cold our second shark appeared, an absolutely stunning 4.2m female, clean with barely any markings on her bar a few patches of string copepods. What a fantastic way to finish the day
