A stunning sunrise launch was followed by some excellent shark sightings! Trip 1 was a father son exclusive, and as we arrived on anchor a spectacular 4.5m male shark circled us. The light was too low to see him clearly, but we did notice an old scar towards his tail. Mini Rosie and 4 large sharks moved in after the larger males departure. Even though underwater viz was very murky the father and son got some very close looks at these sharks on the surface, from in the cage. We finished the trip with a run up to Dyer Island where all the seals were tightly aligned by the edge of Geyser rock- a sign of hunting white shark presence for sure!

On the second trip we just arrived at the dive site and were welcomed by a 4.5m shark. This shark was passing up and down the cage before deciding to go its own way. After a while “Mini Rosie” came by and was circling the boat for a while. It’s always nice to see her, hopefully she stays around for a few more weeks. In total we encountered six different great white sharks, as well as one of our tagged sharks. The tagged shark only showed up quickly before disappearing in the ocean. Unfortunately we having another no sea day tomorrow, but looking forward to see the sharks again soon.
