What an incredible start of the day! Monday blues? Never heard of it, as we got to to spend our Monday morning with SEVEN different great white sharks! We started of with our beloved Shaun, a 3.3m male shark, slowly cryising around us. And then we got so much action we almost lost count, straight after Shaun our smaller female white shark arrived, a 2.5m juvenile, followed by our beautiful Clampy. As the third cage got in, little feisty shark came for our lines and straight after her another large female at around 4.5m came around showing that the size doesn’t stop her from being quick and agile. The kaleidoscope of shraks wasn’t over as after all those sharks we were lucky to also witness a 2.8m female and a 3m male being incredibly active and giving us nice passes along the cage. Once everyone had a blast in the cage we headed back to shore to enjoy some soup and bread.

And we launched from Kleinbaai harbour for the second time, anticipating some amazing time out at sea. As soon as we got to our dive location, we got ourselves a first shark of the trip and once again it was Shaun as usual relaxed and curious, checking out our cage. After Shuan we hit some quiet times so we decided to change our anchor spot to try our luck elsewhere. And just once we moved we were lucky to get ourselves two other great whites – Clampy and a smaller shark at around 2.8m. We also very briefly had a copper shark that was quick enough to disappear before Clampy came back. To everyone’s amusement we had a Cape Fur Seal porpoising around the cage, staying just behind the sharks and keeping safe distance. Once everyone tried their luck in the cage we headed back to the harbour.

And one more time we came back to the Shallows to enjoy our sharks! Once again we got sharks almost straight away, so our divers had to be quite quick in gearing up as we did not want to miss out on all the fun. Shaun and Clampy were the stars of the last trip, giving some incredible passes and sometimes almost sticking their curious noses into the cage. Besides the sharks we also had a coyuple of seals passing by and looking for some refuge under the boat. And just at the end when we were close to wrapping up a beautiful Giant petrel landed just meters away from us, balancing on the waves, as the wind picked up quite a bit. We got our cage back onto the boat and went back to Kleinbaai.
