Conditions: Clearing rain with a slight wind and rolling swell.
Gloomy skies and a light rain greeted our first trip this morning as we headed out of the harbour at a nice early launch time of 8am. Thankfully the rain ceased by the time we were on anchor and did not start again for the rest of the day.
Immediately we had a small Cape Fur seal join us, which encouraged some of our guest to get into the water quick smart to see if they could spot it under water, which thanks to the relatively nice visibility they could. Whilst the seal was an entertaining sight we were all waiting patiently for a White shark to show up, unfortunately, even with 3 hours on anchor and much patience we did not get to see a shark this morning.
Before heading back to the harbour we had a closer look at the Cape Fur seal colony of Geyser Rock as we cruised through Shark Alley.
The cheeky seal joined us again for the second trip and we had a fantastic amount of fun with our divers in the cage. We had a lot of laughter with our cage dive quiz, even in the absence of the White Sharks today. Hopefully we will be joined by them again soon!
