We left the harbour into thick sea fog this morning! Creating quite an eerie feeling as we approached our anchor site in the shallows! The crew prepped the cage and we got our divers geared up and sat in wait for our first shark. It wasn’t long until we got our first shark of the trip, with some excellent visibility today our divers were treated to the full beauty of these sharks underwater. With activity coming and going through the trip, our divers got plenty of cage time, and a couple of very close passes towards the end of the trip. We also got a bonus sighting of a cheeky cape fur seal towards the end cruising elegantly in front of the cage showcasing their agility to our last lucky group of divers! A happy trip all round and the sun was shining towards the end of this trip!
On our second trip the sun started to break through, and soon our guests were basking in the sun. We once again arrived at our dive site, and our guests quickly geared up. Luckily we didn’t have to wait for the Copper sharks to arrive, and our guests were quickly thrilled by the sharks passing close by the vessel. Soon the Cape fur seal came back as well, and the entertained our divers a few times. Our divers definitely ticked off a bucket list item, and overall the had an amazing time out at sea.
