We were happy to be back on the sea today after a day and a half off thanks to some rather nasty weather conditions over the weekend! These days off ment we were unsure what to really expect once we got out there, on arrival we saw that visilbility was going to be a challenge, thankfully the water temperature has inched over the 15.0’C mark and the sharks were around not to long after arrival! The first shark was none other than “Ingrid” the large and easily identifiable female with damage done to her dorsal fin, closely behind her were two of our favourite juvenile females in the bay at the moment, “Little Smithy” and “Caroline”. The later ended up being the favourite of the trip as she came nice and close to the divers in the cage! The second trip of the day launched in the afternoon with some increased swell, not too much to worry about however and the sharks didn’t mind either! Yet again we had sharks around the boat straight away, the first arrival being a larger female we had not seen yet with an interesting wound to her right side just in front of the tail, looking like she either had a run in with another shark or possible a boat! Apart from this individual the rest of the afternoon visitors were the same we saw this morning. A nice day to be back on the water…
