Today was just as incredible as yesterday. On our morning trip we were waiting just for a little while to see the first Great White shark. Once the sharks were here the activity was very good. Some of the sharks were passing the cage gracefully, so the divers could have a good look at these beautiful creatures. On this trip we had seven different individuals with the biggest of an estimated length of 4.2m. As it was such an amazing trip we decided to cruise through the world famous Shark Alley before heading to shore and picking up our next group of shark cage divers.
Our second trip was just as good as the first one. Shortly after picking up the cage and putting some divers into the cage a smaller shark appeared and entertained us well. A bit later two bigger sharks around 4 meter showed up circling our vessel for quite a while. We also spotted ‘Maureen’, a satellite tagged shark, just before packing up and heading back to the Kleinbaai harbour.
If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then Great White Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss.
