Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: 11.7°C + 12.0°C

Depth: 9.8m + 9.2m

Visibility: 2m + 2m

Conditions:  Wind throughout the day, but relatively flat seas

We headed straight to the shallows this morning for our first trip. We anchored up and had to wait a little bit for the copper sharks this morning. With the water temperature dropping, maybe they are feeling the chill a little bit! But our first cage got some nice views of the shark underwater, and activity started to pick up as the morning wore on. Towards the end of the second group the copper sharks were in full force and being their inquisitive selves checking out or divers in the cage! With the wind pumping a little this morning, we held onto our caps but still enjoyed the magnificent display from the copper sharks. With the trip coming to an end we dropped our cage at the anchor site and headed back to pick up our second group of guests!

On our second trip we once again headed towards the shallows. Once we arrived, we quickly attached the cage to the side of the vessel, and our divers jumped into their wetsuits. It wasn’t long before the first Copper sharks arrived, and our divers eagerly climbed into the cage. Despite the chilly waters, the Copper sharks were quite active, and our guests had an amazing time out at sea. At the end of the trip, we headed back to shore, where our divers finished their trip with some nice vegetable soup, and homemade bread.
