Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks + Short-tail stingray
Daily Summary: Another early start for our guests today! We launched out of kleinbaai harbor with good sea conditions and an excited group of divers and spectators! On anchor, we quickly got our divers ready to change into their wetsuits, and with just a few waiting minutes the Bronze whaler sharks arrived! We could enjoy good visibility and shark activity throughout the whole day and also a quick visit from a Short-tail stingray. The second trip of the day had a quick start to the shark sightings with the Bronze whalers appearing just after the anchor was set, along with two Short-tail stingrays and a hunting Cape fur seal not long after. The activity was continuous with 6 female adult sharks seen throughout the trip, with some fantastic views from above and below the water. We were also lucky to have great views of the stingrays with multiple surface breaks along with the Cape fur seal successfully making a meal out of an Octopus.
