Daily Blog 28 February 2017 (Trip 1) | White Shark Diving Gansbaai

28/02/2017

Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 13.6’C
Depth: 9.6m
Visibility: 3.0m
Number of Sharks: 0
Conditions: Calm seas with little to no wind or swell and clear skies.

We all felt very optimistic and hopeful today with some beautiful conditions to be out on the water, close to perfect in terms of what we experience in this bay however one thing was missing and it is a crucial factor in shark cage diving….the sharks. We yet again experienced a day without White sharks in the bay, the 20th day in row! We truly appreciate the patience and understanding of those guests that joined us in the hope that today would be the day, unfortunately it was not to be. Perhaps March will hold more success for those visiting Gansbaai in the chance of seeing the elusive White shark…

If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then White Shark Diving in Gansbaai, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss. Book and pay online with us and get a free video of your encounter with the world’s apex predator.
