We love days when we arrive at our dive site and only have a few moments for our sharks to arrive! This is exactly what happened this morning and on our later trip, with the first shark of each trip arriving within 15 minutes of anchoring. This gives our visitors just enough time to get into their wetsuits and prepare themselves for that Great White experience before the action begins! For the first hour of this morning’s trip we experienced a new individual every 10 minutes. It started to slow down a little bit after this but we ended up having a large number of sharks around for the trip, majority were around the 3.5m length and we had a nice mix of both male and female around. The afternoon trip saw similar conditions out there as well as similar activity, however we had some new sharks turn up that we did not see this morning including the largest shark of the day a 4.2m male that has some extensive scarring on top of its head that we casually refer to as “Tiger” due to the striped pattern these scars make. We also had an addition to the day of a small juvenile female that was first seen yesterday, whom has a smattering of scratches to the right side of her face that helps us identify her, however he behaviour is also very distinctive in that she is very slow when she comes in front of the cage and passes by very close usually which her jaws agape.  This small shark stuck around the boat for the majority of the afternoon and was soon one of the favourites for those on board. An action and shark packed day had by all…
