Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Cape fur seals, Short-tail Stingray + Indian Ocean humpback dolphin
Summary: An early departure for our first trip of the day, with low swell and a building breeze. A quick trip to our dive spot in the Shallows presented us with clearer waters, with the first arrival of the Bronze whalers occurring promptly after dropping anchor. Multiple individuals of varying size ranges investigated the nearby waters of the cage, with divers braving cooler waters to see this graceful sharks up close! A curious Cape fur seal kept us all company through the trip, with a distant sighting of the endangered Indian Ocean humpback dolphin in the nearby shallow surf. The second trip kept the luck going, with continued sightings of the Bronze whaler sharks. For our last trip of the day our guests could enjoy multiple Bronze whaler sharks for the whole duration of our trip today! Coming in close to our divers and spectators on board! We also had a hunting Cape fur seal, and a short visit from a Short-tail Stingray! Thank you to everyone who joined us on today’s adventure on Slashfin!
