Did someone order a conveyor belt of great whites this morning?! Early starters sometimes get rewarded, and with the excitement this morning there were certainly no bleary eyes in sight! We got to our anchor site first this morning, got the cage in and bam there’s a shark… And it was wall to wall action for close to an hour and a half. We got our first group of divers in the water with Clampy! She was cruising round this morning giving our divers some fantastic underwater activity. We also got some nice activity from the large female with a big chunk out of her tail. With these two sharks appearing so quickly we were feeling very luck then in comes a feisty 2.5m female! She was very curious and gave us some nice out of the water action. So I’m gonna go out on a whim here, with the 4.2m female joining us and giving us yet again some more spectacular action, she shall be henceforth be known as hooky… Until someone else gives her a more imaginative name anyway. But she was on top form once again this morning! Finally towards the end of this flurry we had the heavily scratched up male 4m, with a chunk missing out of his tail. Although activity died down a little towards the end we had an epic first trip out there! Oh ye and even a cheeky copper shark popped up to say hello! Our second trip had 3 sharks! The small female, hooky and a male of similar size to mini nemo! Finally our third trip finished off the day with a Copper shark, Short-tailed stingray and two White sharks including the small female from the previous two trips and the large female missing the upper lobe to her tail that was seen earlier in the morning. We had ups and down in terms of activity on this trip, but always awesome to get eyes on these magnificent animals!
