Trip 1
It was a fantastic day to be out on the water with little to no swell and swell and just a slight wind. The sharks were also fantastic with some great sightings. The first trip waited a little while for the sharks to arrive but by the end of the trip we had a number of different White sharks sighted including a large male known as “Tarm K” easily recognisable by the rolled tip of his dorsal fin and a shark that we have not seen since the start of our Winter season this year. Two of our well known juveniles showed up to the boat as well with the fesity female “Sarko” around and one of the current favourite males “Spaghetti”.
Trip 2
The second trip of the day got off to a great start with sharks just after the boat arrived back and whilst the activity and sightings did quiten down as the trip proceeded the group still had some great sightings with “Tarm K” joining again and a new shark for the day, a female approximately 4.2m in length.
Trip 3
The third and final trip of the day saw sightings from the get go with the shark “Tarm K” being sighted as we anchored, once the divers were in we had another arrival, with a juvenile male turning up that had been seen on the previous trips. These two males were the main sharks of the afternoon coming and going frequently for the first two cages. This is when the Short-tailed stingrays showed up and the activity started to slow down. The third cage still had th two males around however by our fourth cage the sharks were scarce but with some great patience from our divers they waited in the water for quite some time before a new shark arrivec, the largest of the trip, the large female from the second trip had returned with a great finish to the day as the juvenile male from earlier on in the trip reappeared.
