Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Poor

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks + African Penguins + Seven-gill shark

Summary: Another early start for our divers and spectators! We spotted Bronze Whaler Sharks just a few minutes after anchoring in Jubertsdam. The first divers quickly got into the water and enjoyed close-up sightings of the sharks. On our way back to the harbor, we spotted a lot of bird activity in the bay closer to the harbor, where we saw a nice size of African penguin raft in the water. We got super close to the boat! Overall, it was a great day for both trips, and we can’t wait to get back out to sea tomorrow!
