After a few days off the water due to bad weather we were eager to get out this morning and go in search of some sharks! We dropped our anchor in the shallows this morning, geared up and learnt some interesting facts about the area and the sharks habitat. We worked hard this morning to try and get ourselves a shark but unfortunately we were unsuccessful on this attempt. This didn’t stop us from enjoying some of the other magnificent wildlife around our shores. We were joined on the way out and during the trip by some sub-Antarctic Skuas. It’s always a marvel to watch these seasonal visitors fly alongside us! With the trip coming towards an end we got some of our keen cage divers in the water and played a quick cage dive quiz to test what our guests had learnt about sharks this morning! With prizes in the form of spring rolls on the cards our divers were very amused! After some fun in the water, we headed over to the island to watch the seals from shark alley and get some nice photo opportunities!
For our second trip we headed out to the island once again to try our luck in the Geldsteen. We got our cage in the water and anchored up in hope that some of our sharky friends popped up to say hello. Towards the end of this trip some of our brave guests ventured into the cage, even without the sharks sighted! Another trip by Geyser rock and the Cape Fur seals to end the afternoon
