“Very friendly and professional staff. Couldn’t do much viewing but staff kept us entertained.” – Teha

Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 14.6 C + 14.6 C
Depth: 9.5m + 12.0m
Visibility: 1.0 m + 1.0m
Number of Sharks: 0 + 0
Conditions: winter chill in the air

We had a bit of a cold front move through our area keeping us off sea on Wednesday.  Our hope was that it would not only clear up some of the red tide we have been experiencing, but also perhaps cue more sharks to move into the area.  Unfortunately, only one of those wishes came true.  The water did clear up a bit, but the sharks remained quiet.  On our first trip we did not even see a glimpse of a dorsal fin.  The clients on the second trip did get a peek at a white shark when it surfaced at another boat.  We quickly moved over to their location, but the shark was never spotted again.

I want to wish a very special birthday to Dan!  He and his friend Phil have spent a couple of days with us trying to view our majestic sharks.  They have been quite unlucky, but we did enjoy throwing a bit of a party and singing happy birthday on the boat.  Here’s to another 40!!
