Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: 13.3°C + 13.9°C

Depth: 9.0m + 7m

Visibility: 0.5m + 0.5m

Conditions: Cloudy day with a slight swell.

There was a thick layer of clouds in the sky and there had been a slight drizzle as we headed out to sea. We soon arrived at our dive site, the cage went into the water, and our divers climbed into their wetsuits. It didn’t take long for our first visitor to come around, a Copper shark briefly popped her head up. We were soon visited by a white shark, who came around for a quick pass. Afterwards the Copper sharks returned and entertained our divers and guests for the continuation of the trip. Despite the cloudyness, the sharks made for an amazing trip out at sea.

For our second trip of the day it was back to the shallows in search of some more white sharks! We started the trip with a brand new 3.8m male who showed us some stunning activity on this trip with some spectacular out of the water action! We had a couple of copper sharks on this trip as well and these were then followed by a 2.5m individual and then the 2m female with the pigmentation on her laft gill slits. We had excellent activity with every cage in the water today with some very happy divers indeed!
