Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Cape fur seal, African Penguins, Common Dolphins, Storm Petrels + Giant Petrels
Summary: An early start led to a fantastic morning here at Marine Dynamics! As we launched from Kleinbaai Harbour, we were notified that a pod of Common Dolphins was feeding in the bay, so we headed straight over to witness this incredible sight. Along the way, we were delighted to spot African Penguins and Giant Petrels resting peacefully on the water. Once we arrived at our dive site, our guests geared up and prepared for their ocean adventure. It wasn’t long before a Bronze Whaler shark made an appearance! The activity was fantastic, and our divers truly felt the raw power and grace of these magnificent sharks up close. To make the trip even more special, a Cape Fur Seal stayed nearby throughout the excursion, while Storm Petrels danced gracefully above the waves. Thank you to everyone who joined us for such an exciting and memorable day at sea!
