Daily Blog 25 December 2020 | Shark Cage Diving in South Africa

25/12/2020

Location: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Poor

Sightings: Bronze whalers, Cape Cormorants, Storm Petrel

As soon as we got to our dive location we spotted hundreds of Cape Cormorants!

Luckily the sharks didn’t make us wait for too long

And in we go! Our first divers

Beautiful sightings of Copper sharks

Very special not quite sharky sighting – at least 15 Storm Petrels around the boat

Not perfect visibility but good enough to see the sharks in the cage!

Happy to see some sharks from the cage and from the boat

You can spot the nictitating membrane half covering the eye

Not so gummy in reality

Stunning sightings!

The last out of the cage and the happiest!

There is a shark behind you!!
