Slashfin was back out on the water after having yesterday off after two days of shark sightings, had things changed in the bay? Once we reached anchor for our first trip we had our first White shark sighting quickly, it was ‘Feisty’ again, the tagged male with entanglement that was first seen on Saturday afternoon and the whole of Sunday after a week of no White shark sightings. ‘Feisty’ came and went throughout the trip however when he wasn’t around we had plenty of Copper sharks circling and a very brave Cape Fur seal checking things out.
The second trip of the day launched and we sent much of our time watching approximately six Copper sharks approaching the boat on and off as well as that curious Cape Fur seal. The guests on this trip showed remarkable patience and we were so thankful that just as we were about to leave ‘Feisty’ showed up so that the group could have a look at a White shark.
The third and final trip of the day was an exclusive for a family from the United Kingdom. Launching just after 1pm they headed out to be met only moments after anchoring by ‘Feisty’ the Great White shark. The Copper sharks also made an appearance this afternoon as did the Cape Fur seal.
