This morning was a chilly start for our divers yet the sharks didn’t appear to have an issue with it however activity was a little on the slow side at the beginning of the trip. Once on anchor, back in the Shallows again today, we had a short wait for our first shark to arriveand whilst the first few individuals were a little on the shy side they continued to return to the boat throughout the trip. We had a quick visit from a large female, one we have seen both in the Shallows and at the Island and who is easy to identify through a large notch in her dorsal fins trailing edge. She happened to be the largest shark of this mornings trip. Another interesting arrival today was a shark we previously saw last July with damage to the right eye area. This shark is back in the bay and whilst its’ behaviour is fantastic around the boat the scaring still remains around the eye. A fintastic morning on board Slashfin with sharks of all sizes, genders and activity levels!

We had a shark almost immediately on the second trip.  However, after that we had to be a little bit more patient with the sharks.  Having some slow moments helps you to really appreciate just what a special experience it is to view white sharks in their natural environment.  After moving to a new location, we had several different visitors and a lot more activity.
