What a morning. Arrived at the dive site we just dropped the anchor and cage and we had sharks around straight away. Our first shark for today was dolphin fin, as his dorsal fin looks more like a dorsal fin from a dolphin than a shark. Dolphin fin was sticking around our vessel for quite a while and was actively going for the bait. In total we had nine different white sharks, with the biggest one around 4.5m same length as our cage. But the big one just came up twice before it decided to continue its journey. Before heading back to the harbour we went to the world famous Shark Alley to show our clients the white sharks favourite meal, the Cape Fur seals.

The second trip of the day and as our divers were changing into their suits a 4.5m male shark arrived and circled us three times! Unfortunately when everyone was settled he didn’t come back- that’s the way it goes sometimes! A 3.5m shark stole the show on this trip and was very curious with the decoy. We named him ‘Junior’ in honour of a British couples expected child, which they are yet to know the sex of! The seven month pregnant mum was first into the cage with hubby-  you go girl! All in all a splendid trip and very fortunate to see so many white sharks in such a short space of time!

Our last trip was just as exciting as the previous ones. We had the sharks around our boat immediately. The sharks were passing the cage nicely so our clients could have a close look at these beautiful animals. While busy waiting for a shark to come closer we were surprised by a big female at around 4.6m. Wow, it’s always impressive to see such a big white shark. Overall we had a jawesome day with the white sharks.
