Gansbaai and its surrounding bays are stunning on any given day however it is even more so on days like today with flat seas, clear blue skies and a light, refreshing breeze. Slashfin, her crew and guests launched from Gansbaai harbour this morning due to the low waters in Kleinbaai Harbour, and made their way around Danger Point. The trip to anchor proved eventful with a breaching Humpback whale and another pair of Humpback whales encountered moving around the point. Once on anchor the group waited patiently in the hopes a White shark would appear, enjoying the sun and calm conditions and the always present bird life around the boat, unfortunately no sharks appeared at the boat today, as was the same for all shark cage diving vessels in the area. Before heading back to land the group made a trip by the Islands to have a closer look at the Cape Fur seals of Geyser Rock.

A beautiful day to enjoy being out on the sea but unfortunately another day done with no White shark sightings. A big thank you to our guests for joining Marine Dynamics this morning. We truly hope to have a positive update on shark sightings soon.
