Our first trip of the morning headed out into a warm and inviting morning. We got to our dive site and prepared our guests for an excellent session diving with sharks! Our first visitors around Slashfin were our faithful copper sharks, lapping up the morning sunshine and enjoying the warmer water we are experiencing at the moment. Our first group of divers hopped in the cage and got up close to some interesting individuals. We had the copper shark this morning missing the dorsal fin! It doesn’t appear to have impaired the individual, but strange nonetheless to see a shark minus that iconic fin! Activity was excellent throughout the morning, with all our divers enjoying a thrilling cage dive experience. To finish up the trip we headed around danger point and towards Gansbaai to drop our guests there due to a low tide in Kleinbaai.

Our second trip also enjoyed the fantastic views around Danger Point with the sun climbing higher in the sky, it was a fantastic start to our cage diving trip. We approached the shallows and got the cage prepared, while our guests begun to gear up. We got sharks within minutes of anchoring and our first group of excited divers headed in to the water. We were also joined by a short tailed stingray, which is always magnificent to see these flat sharks! Activity of the bronzies was good throughout the trip with our divers getting some fantastic sightings of these schooling sharks both above and below the water. As we finished up we made our way back into Kleinbaai harbour to collect our final group of excited divers.

After we picked up our new guests, Slashfin made its way back to The Shallows. As our guests quickly got into their wetsuits the the Copper sharks arrived immediately and the first group jumped into the cage. The shark activity was once again amazing, and our divers had some amazing views as the sharks passed by our cage. Soon the short-tailed stingray was back as well, dazzling our clients above with it’s amazing size. Our guests had an amazing time on the boat, but soon our time was up. We headed back to Kleinbaai harbour, where our guests finished off the trip with homemade bread and soup.
