Our first trip of the morning headed into lovely sunshine, and we soon were in the shallows! We dropped our anchor prepped the cage and got our divers geared up for some sharky encounters. We started the trip of with a bang as the 2.5m female with the dark scar on the left flank approached with some speed! She gave us some great activity for our first and second cage, which was intertwined with some stingrays and some copper sharks! We got a quick sighting towards the end of the trip of the 2m female white shark, but as quick as she was there she was gone again. To finish up due to low tide we headed round Danger Point for a lovely scenic cruise into Gansbaai harbour to pick up our next group of guests.
After our guests for the second trip, we headed back out to sea. We headed back around Danger Point towards our dive site in The Shallows. The crew attached the cage to the side of the vessel, and our guests received their wetsuits. Not a moment later we had our first visitor around the boat, one of our frequent sighted Copper sharks. Our divers climbed in the cage and soon we had several Copper sharks passing by the cage frequently. With the beautiful sunny weather, and the sharks coming around for a frequent pass, it turned out a great day out at sea. Soon we headed back to shore, and our guests finished the trip with a delicious cup of vegetable soup and homemade bread.
