A beautiful trip with excellent conditions and sharks from start to finish. A distinctive juvenile shark with a spot mark on the right of its dorsal fin was first to arrive and made some great passes by the cage. “Paisley” our recently tagged shark showed up but only circled a few times before departing for a larger 4.0m female. We had a mixed bag of nationalities on board from Sweden, Germany, Chile, UK and USA. One thing everyone agreed on after this trip was that white sharks are remarkable and a must see in Africa, definitely worth conserving properly! We finished the trip with a run through the shallows where we observed the rare Indo pacific humpback dolphins, four adults and a baby basking in the surf…. stunning!
What an exciting trip we just had. On our second trip we were waiting a few minutes at our dive site, before the first shark for this trip appeared. It was also the biggest one we encountered throughout the trip with nearly 4m. Although the other sharks spotted around our vessel were smaller they were really active. They kept coming up from the deep, showing us their jaws and passing in front of the cage. In the middle of our trip our sister company, Dyer Island Cruises stopped by. They also had a look at the white sharks as they search for the Marine Big 5. Overall we had a great second trip and couldn’t have asked for better sightings.
Trip three of the day and incredible shark activity again- the sharks are being very co operative this Easter! We saw a multitude of different white sharks-12 in total- with two animals measuring in at 4.2-4.5m! Our divers went into the cage numerous times and an impressive short tailed stingray glided by to end the day off perfectly.
