Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Moderate

Sightings: Bronze Whaler sharks, Cape Fur seal, Short tail stingrays, Broadnose sevengill shark, Southern right whales, Brydes Whales + Shy Albatross

Summary:
We started our day as soon as the sun showed up over the mountains! We launched from Kleinbaai harbour and had a short drive to the dive location. As soon as we got there our crew prepped the boat and our guests got ready to get into the cage. As soon as we were ready the sharks started coming to us! We had some incredible activity with not just sharks, but also two different Short-tail stingrays and a Cape Fur seal making their appearance. We headed back to land and took a bit of a detour to travel to Gnsbaai harbour as there was just not enough water in Kleinbaai harbour due to the tide. And on our way back we encountered a raft of African Penguins! For the 2. trip of the day we got lucky to encounter a beautiful Shy Albatross nice and close to the boat. Also Brydes whales in the deep! As soon as we anchored we had the amazing Bronze whaler sharks around! Sharks were so active and close, we also had a Broadnose sevengill shark around, and Cape fur seals hunting! On the way back to the harbor we had two Southern right whales as well!
