After a day with rain and wind we were able to go back out to sea again! 😀 It was still a bit rough and rainy in the morning but fortunately the rain stopped and the sky cleared up a bit. We headed to the Geldsteen and were welcomed by Vindiction! A 4.2m female Great White that we know very well! We can recognize her by a distinctive rosie on the left side of her dorsal fin. She was tagged by Ocearch back in 2012 but the tag fell off some time ago and the dorsal fin has healed nicely. We ended with 8 different sharks around the boat during the first trip. On our second trip we spotted another Ocearch shark, this time we spotted Poseidon a 3.1m male that has been around for about a week. The sharks on our second trip were all close to the 3m mark, some were a bit bigger, others a bit smaller. We launched for a third trip at 2pm and decided to get everyone changed at the Great White house before getting on the boat as conditions were getting choppier in the afternoon. We saw a few sharks we had seen earlier that day but also a few new sharks including a shark with lots of parasites on the dorsal fin and a 2m shark that was the smallest of the day.
