We started our day later than usual today. Although it was quite overcast when we left Great White House, by the time we reached our dive site, the sky cleared up. On the way to the dive site, we saw as many as a hundred Cape Cormorants making their way to their breeding location on the Dyer Island. Once we reached our dive location at the Shallows and dropped the cage into the water, our divers were excited to get into their wetsuits and see those beautiful sharks. Animals did not make us wait too long. The first visitor of the day was a Cape Fur Seal, later joined by another one. After the seals copper sharks arrived and showed off their beautiful bronze colours. Divers were thrilled as the sharks slapped the water around the cage with their beautiful caudal fins. As always we were sad to leave our beautiful wildlife behind but we had to head back to the harbour. 

The wind blew and Slashfin bounced across the waves as we once again headed out towards the Shallows for our second trip. When we arrived at our dive site, the crew attached the cage next to the boat, and our guests quickly jumped into their wetsuits. Our guests didn’t have to wait long for the first copper sharks to arrive, and soon they came around in droves. Our guests were thrilled as these beautiful sharks came by the cage. Some squealed in delight as the sharks came so close they could see the beautiful eyes of these animals. We were briefly visited by a southern right whale as well, who quickly popped her head up before disappearing again. By the end of the trip we headed back to dry shores, and our guests enjoyed some lovely soup and homemade bread.
