The first trip of the day headed out early from the slip way with great anticipation after 2 days off the sea. As we arrived at our anchor site it wasn’t long until we had 2 white sharks around the cage. The first was a juvenile 1.8 m and the second a large 3.8 m male. We were joined by 7 sharks in total throughout the trip, with the seventh arriving right at the very end. One of our well known sharks ‘Dolphin fin’ was around today, named after its dorsal fin which looks more like a dolphins fin than a white sharks, with a nice curve to it.

The second trip saw 6 white sharks with lots of activity throughout the trip, with Dolphin fin coming back to the boat to have another investigation. On this trip we saw a white shark attempt a predation on a white breasted cormorant which was fascinating for all observing, but the shark was not successful. We also had some stingray action as well on the bait line.

The third trip of the day started with a lot of excitement and action right from the start with a juvenile shark moving very slowly towards the bait as soon as we arrived at our dive site, followed by a larger much more active shark who was very active and broached the water a number of times. Eight sharks in total were recorded on this trip and shark activity was good from start to finish.
