This morning did start with another beautiful sunrise over our bay. After waiting for a little while the first shark arrived and everybody was excited immediately as it is always impressive to see these apex predators. Our biggest shark on this trip was 4.5m which is the same length as our cage. We also had Mini Rosie passing up and down the cage. We always appreciate to have her around. In the middle of this trip we were surprised by a short tailed stingray who had a quick look at our divers in the cage before deciding to head back to the seafloor. And not to forget the Cape cormorants who were flying past us while busy watching the sharks.

On this exclusive trip a family from the USA privately hired Slashfin for a couple of hours between 11am and 1pm. From the moment we arrived until we left we were spoiled with superb shark activity! The first shark to arrive was Paisley a 3.5m tagged female. Noah and Ella (brother and sister) dived with dad in the cage while Lily and mom helped observe and log shark data on the top deck with me! The highlight of the trip was a 4.5m enormous male shark who stole the show with his graceful relaxed behaviour.

On the last trip for today we were lucky again and spotted another 4.5m white shark shortly after arriving at the dive site. This big beauty showed its face a few times before despairing in the deep water of the bay. Although it was impressive to see such a big shark Mini Rosie stole the show, she was quite active. She was going for the bait and showing the non-divers her face a few times. After another successful day with many sharks we arrived safely back in the Kleinbaai harbour and are excited to see more shark activity tomorrow.
