Daily Blog 22 June 2023 | Shark Cage Diving in South Africa

22/06/2023

Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Low

Visibility: Poor

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Broadnose seven gill shark, Bottlenose dolphins+ Cape fur seal

Trip Summary: We were all excited to head back to sea, after being on land for ten days! Our guests could not wait to get in their wetsuits as soon as we anchored! Due to the cold front, the water temperature was anything other than tropical, but our divers managed our temperate water very well! After a little waiting time, the first Bronze Whaler shark appeared and we could get in! In the end, we had four different Bronze Whaler sharks and a beautiful pod of Bottlenose dolphins pass us so close to where we were anchored in the Shallows! A successful day for both our trips and guests! Thank you to all for joining us!
